Requirements?

SpadeEye requires the english PartyPoker client.
Do not use any PartyPoker Lobby Themes.

How does Tableselection work?

SpadeEye is able to "read" your local poker client lobby. This process is called scaning.

Make sure you select the desired poker room in the SpadeEye Client menu.

Make sure the desired poker room client is running and that the correct tablelist is visible in the lobby.
Remember: SpadeEye reads your local lobby...

Press Scan All Tables to run the scanning.

If configured correct then the tables and playernames along with their statistics from your local database will start to appear in SpadeEye.

What poker rooms can i scan with SpadeEye?

SpadeEye supports Partypoker, EmpirePoker, FullTiltPoker, AbsolutePoker, VegasPoker 247 and Big Chip Poker.

Where can i select the stake(s)?

You have to set the stake in the SpadeEye Filter.
Make sure selected stakes is checked and select the desired stake from the list below.
You can select several stake by pressing the CTRL or SHIFT key while selecting the stakes.

Remarks for PartyPoker: You have to select the stake in the PartyPoker client lobby, not in SpadeEye itself.

The tables disappear after the scan finished?

After a scan the advanced and overall tablefilter gets applied.
Go to your SpadeEye Filter and modify or disable these two filters.

I don't get any statistics when scanning the tables?

Have you added your database in "main->options->databases"?
Click here if you use a default PokerTracker 2 Access database.
Click here if you use a PokerTracker 2 PostgreSQL database.
Click here if you use a PokerTracker 3 database.
Click here if you use a HoldemManager database.
Click here if you use a PokerStrategy Elephant database.
Click here if you use a PokerOffice 2 MySQL database.

Make sure you add the correct database, and not an empty one.

I receive an error message when scanning the tables?

Please contact support@spadeit.com.
Include the following:
1) The complete error message.
2) What SpadeEye version do you use?
3) What database and version do you use?
4) Include a screenshot of "main->options->databases" if possible.
5) Include a screenshot of "File->maintain database names" if you use PokerTracker 2.
6) Include a screenshot of "database->database management" if you use PokerTracker 3.

What is datamining?

Datamining is the process of observing and gathering information about your opponents play.

Poker is a game of imperfect information.
Thus the more information you have, the higher your advantage will be.

What poker rooms can i datamine with SpadeEye?

SpadeEye supports datamining Party- / Empire Poker and Cereus (Absolute Poker + UltimateBet).
It does not support datamining FullTiltPoker.
FullTilt doesn't allow any datamining applications!

Where does it save the handhistories?

The handhistories are saved to the so called Destination directory.
See "Main->options->general" to set this directory.
Important: Make sure the directory you specify is existing. Otherwise no handhistory files will be written to disk.

What do i have to do with the handhistory files?

SpadeEye takes care of reconstructing the handhistory files.
It is up to you, to import these handhistory files into a database.

Where can i set the stake i want to datamine?

Make sure you selected the target poker room from the SpadeEye Client menu.
Go to "Main->options->limits".
Select the stakes from the tree of cash games and add them to the list.

The limit tab is empty when i try to datamine PartyPoker?

The list of available stakes is retirved from your local PartyPoker client.
Make sure the PartyPoker client is running when you enter the SpadeEye options.

If the client is already running, make sure both (SpadeEye and PartyPoker) run in the same Windows user scope.
This may require you to run both (SpadeEye and PartyPoker) as admin (especially when using Windows Vista).
See Remarks using Windows Vista for a descriptions on how to achieve that.

Where can i configure what tables i want to datamine??

You have to configure the Open Tables and Close Tables tabs in the options.
There you can set the number of tables, as well as the desired number of players at these tables, too.

How do i run the datamining?

Go to "Datamining->Start complete automatic" to run the datamining.

If configured correct then SpadeEye will open up some tables and start to write the handhistories to disk.

What is Semi-Smart datamining?

The idea behind the Semi-Smart datamining is to open the tables based on the results of a tablescan.
It works like this:
1) Run a scan
2) Sort the scan result e.g. by "#reads" ascending
3) Open top X tables from scan result
4) Datamine them for about 30 minutes
5) Close all tables and get back to step 1)

Thus it would datamine the tables where you have less reads on with a higher priority.
This is a more intelligent way of datamining.

There are endless possibilities to use this semi-smart method:
- Dataminine the tables where your buddies are sitting at with a higher priority.
- Dataminine the tables with the highest average potsize first.
